My work included securing major grants, including the Alliance’s first NEA award, and leading strategic branding and marketing efforts for the Fenway Cultural District. I’ve overseen large-scale cultural programming, attracting over 10,000 attendees. Through advocacy, outreach, and collaborative initiatives, I helped bridge communities and drive impactful cultural projects.

  • I examined four cultural districts in Greater Boston and Seattle, exploring the complex relationships between cultural, community, and economic stakeholders. The thesis highlights key challenges such as misaligned values, funding gaps, and the need for more community-engaged processes that impact a district’s long-term success. The research offers insights into why communities pursue cultural district designations and provides recommendations for more inclusive, sustainable planning.
